It All Began When We Said "Yes."

I was trying to nap (unsuccessfully) when my phone rang - an unknown number.  Could this be the call we were waiting for?

YEP!  "We have a 6 month old baby boy who has been in foster care since birth but needs to be moved...would you take him?"

5 hours and 3 trips to the store later, we first laid eyes on our son, our first foster child, but not our last.

we adopted him in 2020, but not before his baby sis joined our family as well!

It wasn't too far into my foster care journey (literally days) that I found myself longing for someone who "got it;" someone who had been where we were.  I also found myself leaning heavily on the skills I used in therapy with my clients to ease my own sense of overwhelm and anxiety.  And then it hit me:  if I felt that way, a loooot of other foster mamas probably did, too.

My superpower is helping foster mamas become the best version of themselves while pursuing the best foster care experience possible.... one with abundant freedom, joy, and peace.

I've been in private practice in Wilton, Connecticut specializing with children, adolescents, and women for 9 years.  As much as I love being a therapist, the foster mama in me wants to do more to support our community, and so Fearless Fostering was born.

Nothing lights me up more than the prospect of being able to support and encourage women, at any stage of their foster care journey.  If more women felt connected and safe as foster parents, would more of them decide to foster?  Would less children be waiting for a safe place to land?  I'm here to find out.

I BELIEVE IN:

Jesus, loving when it's hard, caramel macchiatos, sauvignon blanc, and speaking the truth in love.

I'm NOT ABOUT:

Judgy strangers on the internet, the Macarena, the Casper Slide, or the Hokey Pokey. Organized dance makes me break out in hives.

YOU CAN FIND ME:

Guesting on podcasts, supporting foster mamas all day, errry day, picking up all the toys (again), trying to take a nap.

daily rituals

Jesus + coffee first thing, family dinners, singing in the shower (off-key), journaling, and getting outside.
